This is a wonderful book for new moms. It has information on what to feed your child at their different age/stages, but some of the best information is found in the back of the book. There you find useful information such as how to get out some of those pesky stains, what's appropriate for a birthday party, birthday party ideas, and how to make play dough. This is a great gift for a baby shower!
I have not used the book my self but this is what my friend told me when she gave me a copy for my sister's baby shower:
Q: Great book for new parents - have had mine for 35 years, gave one to each of my daughters and still using it for grandchildren....
My sister LOVES the book, she says: Q: It is full of do it your self healthy, wholesome foods, including snacks, and healthy sweets to satisfy any fussing toddler!
Lots of interesting ideas about snacks, meals and even crafts for infants and toddlers, however as much I was interested in reading about them, I actually only tried one or two, so I can't vouch for most of the ideas.
I ordered this book when my children were babies. Loved it! Gread recipes and makes you feel more confident in making your own food for babies.
I recently order three more of this book to give as baby gifts.
I bought the original book when my oldest daughter was born and loved it. She gre up with very little commercial baby food. Now my daughter is expecting and, yes, I'm going to be sending a copy of this book for her to help with the next generation.
A helpful book with nutrition info and not only good recipes for food your baby and toddler will like, but also edible fun like home-made playdough and peanutbutter dough! Also, make cinnamon ornaments, clay, and more.
