A friend who only reads mysteries these days gave me a big pile of paperbacks back in May and I just today got around to sorting them and inventorying them.

Except for the Joanne Flukes she gave me, the others are new-to-me so feedback would be appreciated on Jan Burke, Taylor McCafferty, Jacqueline Gardner, and Marilyn Wallace.

I don't know all of them but loved the Taylor McCafferty when I read them.  I read all the Jacqueline Gardner's I could get my hands on though toward the end of the series I was getting a bit of a burn out.  Not to say they weren't good - could have just been me.

Thanks, Geri. I tend to also burn out if I read too many books in a row by an author. Though, when I rediscovered Tess Gerritsen a couple of years ago I shot through her backlist.

I do have four K. K. Beck to read first, once I finish the Joanne Flukes, then I'll tackle either the Gardner or McCafferty books. Luckily there's a mystery fan at work and I can pass the books off to her.

I really like Jan Burke's Irene Kelly series.  I've read all but the last 2 I think.  It's not necessary to read them in order, but it does help a bit with following what's going on with the main character.

How incredibly cool to get a bunch of new to you books AND authors!

So how are the books going?  Have you decided if you like any of the authors?

I ask because a)I'm nosey  b)I like to hear what other people thing and c)I am trying to get this forum busier and get rid of that rude thread....lol

Here is an author I would like feedback on if anyone has read her, Sophie Hannah.  She has a series of 5 books with the main guy being Simon Waterhouse and/or Charlie Zailer (sp) -  Little Face, Hurting Distance, The Point of Rescue, The Other Half Lives and The Wrong Mother.
