Written sort of like the structure of "The Last Days of the Late Great State of California" (1966), interspersing cynical commentary about California with discussion of the election of movie actors as governor(the 2 most disasterous electoral decisions ever, except for maybe Proposition 13). It's easy reading, the observations are a little trite, and can be found in other places.
