England was in the grip of the depression. For beautiful Christine Winter these years of suffering were heightened by personal tragedy. Three men loved her: Ronnie, her strange older brother; Don, cruel and tormented, who would stop at nothing to possess her; and Sam, kind and loyal, who offered his love when she most needed it. But Christine loved only one man - the handsome stranger by the river bank.

This was a great book! I couldn't put it down!
