I finally broke down and bought this book after reading another Festivals Series book, "Festivals Together". This book is AWESOME! There are sections written for each season and the holidays within them as well as additional sections on herbs and growing and crafting with them, birthdays, sweetmaking, rainy days and more. My sons especially loved the most recent Spring holiday "May Day". We did a mini maypole and made a May Day cake.

If you want to teach your children to live and enjoy things on a seasonal basis and/or want to expand their knowledge of other cultures, traditions and religions, this book is a great place to go! I would recommend also the "Festivals Together" book and also "The Children's Year".
