We have an alpaca farm in Virginia. Several times a year different home school groups come to visit, some have come back more than once. During their visit they can see and learn many things. Everything from pasture maintenance, herd health, cria delivery, alpaca history in US, shearing in spring, fiber demos, spinning, weaving, crocheting and knitting. The list goes on and on. Spring shearing is a huge event and very fascinating to watch. If anyone is interested in visiting a local alpaca farm and can't locate one, I will be happy to try and find one for you. Just send me a note with your city and state........Barbara |

We'd love to see alpacas! They are a bit different than the standard farm animal. Would you know of any farms near Bloomington IL? Edie |
