This was a wonderful book that I almost stopped reading! The family suffered a great tragedy in the beginning and these days I can't take much sadness, so I put the book down, not intending to finish it. Well, it stayed on my mind, so I started reading it again, and I'm so glad I did. It is the story of a Mennonite family and their journey to America from Russia in the 1800's. They have to overcome difficulties, sadness, and anger through patience and the grace of God. Fields of Grace is written by Kim Vogel Sawyer, an author I enjoy.

The story is filled with excitement and intrigue from the very first. Also, a story of love and caring. I could hardly lay this book down until I finished it. You'll love this one
