British mystery. Dr Jean Montrose with her busy practice finds time to 'help' police with intriguing mystery that has unbelievable features. The heat wave affects tempers and there are whispers of witches, spells and the supernatural when a man was found burned to death.

I got this one from the site. Dr Jean Montrose is called to look at a patient of hers who dies from burning. But the only sign of a fire in the room is the burnt carpet under the body. Was it spontaneous combustion?? Or murder....Well, we know the answer to that question, don't we? But this is very interesting. I did NOT have a clue til the very end who did it. There are sub plots, of course.
