Julie Moggan's documentary, Guilty Pleasures, is "a sweetly humorous film that takes romance novels and the people who love them seriously." The characters in it are three avid readers, a dreamy cover model, and a retired Englishman who writes under a woman's name, according to a review of the film in Mental Floss magazine. The review, by Lizzie Jacobs, also said the film would "help you ditch your smug literary prejudices and understand why a romance novel is sold every four seconds---more often than the average person blinks. According to the magazine, the film is supposed to be available at shoppbs.org. |
