Not a typical air crash book. This one involves corporate intrigue, government stupidity and crash cause investigation. A very good book.
This is the best JJ Nance book that I have read
Suspense. Nance keeps you guessing who caused this plane to crash. Could it be conspiracy, poor maintanence. There are so many twists to go through to find the truth.

I love John J. Nance's books. While reading them I am completely immersed in the story.
In final approach, flight 255 crashes while attempting to land at Kansas City Airport. It is up to Joe Wallingford of the NTSB to find out why. But it isn't easy given the barriers thrown up by the airlines, the pilot and even his own boss. But he is determined to find the cause even if it costs him his beloved job. There were so many things that could have caused it. Was it weather related? Pilot error? Control tower error? Signs even point to sabotage. Joe has to figure it out and soon.
I have read books by Nance that have been more suspensful, but this one held my interest just as well.

It did serve to show what happens behind the scenes .. who does what when. I enjoyed seeing what an investigator first looks at and how he goes about putting all the pieces together.

Nance writes great stories about the airline industryand this is another one.
