This is not a simple or obvious book. Like most of JMF's work its subtle and worth re-reading. A look at Klingons before they became so popular. Interesting and a bit melancholy, but I like it.

This is one of my favorite Star Trek books. While it doesn't deal alot with the crew it does a provide a very interesting look at the Klingons and the idea of 'balance of power'
