Its the first in the Vicki Nelson series. Its good so far but I'm struggling through it because I already know the story from the first episod of the series. Do the rest of the books follow the series too?

I finished that last night...haven't watched the series, though.  I'm going to get through books 2 & 3 (that I have on my stack here) first.

I haven't read mine in  a long time but I don't think that the TV series followed book by book.   I may be mistaken but I'm reasonably sure.

I know the second episod isnt gonna follow any book cause its about voodoo practitioners that are displaced to Toronto from NOLA because of Katrina. The books were written before Katrina happened.

The series doesn't follow the books, so it is worth it to get into the later volumes.   I like the "Smoke" books even better - they occur after the Blood books.

If you like fantasy, her Keeper books are also quite good - some magic, mystery and puns!  Summon the Keeper is the first one.

i don't know about anyone else but i didn't like where the books went...don't get me wrong, they were good but...well i won't spoil anything here but those last couple books? they were just wrong...totally wrong direction.

i hope the series doesn't do that but i've heard that they're taking it in thier own direction. yay!

the smoke were really good too, the wish list is so long here for smoke and ashes i finally just went and bought it.

NO the tv series doesn't follow the books exactly.

And I love the Keeper books too!
