This is a repost from the other forum.  When asking about outdoor plants, it can be very importnat to know what zone you are in, so here is a good link to finding it by your zip code:


I am in PA, but much of PA is in zone 6, however I am in a quirky bit that is 5 and to be safe I like to get things that are hardy in zone 4, for example.  Still, some zone 5 things will do fine, but it does help.

I'm in PA too. Zone 5 for me. I think I'm gonna love this forum.

Zone 6a in Missouri.  I have cauliflower, broccoli and poppies growing in covered containers outdoors right now...and the low tonight is predicted to be 18 degrees F!  Keep your fingers crossed for me that they survive!
