The trick is, of course, I can't afford to buy more than one or two a year at $20 to $30 each.  Anybody here know any sources of used LP's.  The one web site I found is really pretty pricey for used books.  Any suggestions?

What kind of large print books are you looking for?  Romance, ( Love Inspired, Harlequin, etc? )  You could do a Large Print search on PBS and see what is posted, and then request if you see one that you like...

Also..if you post the Large Print books that you are looking for on your Wish list, maybe you could receive some that way also.

:)

I will also send you a PM...

Melissa

I have done all the things you mention above, thanks, Melissa.  I can find bibles, Harlequin (no thanks), all the LP's I have posted and already traded and all the searched LP's.  I am interested in fiction, historical fiction, contempt. romance (some authors), and some sci-fi and paranormal.  I have pretty far ranging taste.  I don't read much non-fiction except autobiography.  I have listed every book I wish for that is printed in LP that I know about.  Just hoping some others have some hidden unknown secrets about finding these books.  I PMed some with another member looking for LP and we swapped two books each.  It was great.

Easiest way... paste "Large Print" @ the top of your Screen and hit search.  (also may want to search for "Larger Print")

fyi:  search by these publishers... "ThornDike" & any publishers w/ "Large Print" included, oh, and "Wheeler" Publishing.

There is a "Large Print Only" box you can check in the Book Browser or Advanced Search options.  Much better and truer results that using the keyword search.

As for new books, I've sent you a PM, Pamela.

Have you tried Harlequin Romance | eHarlequin.com Community  ?

They have alot of different books at this website, including Larger Print.

You have the option of ordering without using a credit card there also.  I have placed 2 orders with eharlequin, and have received my shipments in a timely manner~

I know this is a hit or miss suggestion, but my local Goodwill always groups the large print books together.  You may want to check out your local Goodwill/Salvation Army type stores to see what they have.

I've found a number of large print books that way. And definitely put them on you WL - I always post mine on PBS when I'm done with them!
