Anybody know where it's gone?    Was planning to order one! Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place......?

I'm not seeing it either.  Sometimes they change the inventory; perhaps they are sold out or stopped selling it?

I've been using a digital scale that I found in the kitchen section at Walmart for about $20.  The scale weighs to the ounce, and is perfect for weighing books.  Check them out if PBS no longer carries scales.

Thanks, Andi, I'll check that out!

You can also purchase postage scales at stores like Staples, Office Depot, etc.  You may get a better price at Walmart, but I don't think I paid more than $20 when I bought mine at Staples.  Course that was a couple years ago now.

Ebay also has some nice ones. That's where I got mine from and I paid 16 dollars for it including shipping if I remember right.

I found a nice one at Target -- ChefMate, I believe -- for about $20. It weighs in ounces (from .01 ounces to 3 or 5 pounds, I forget now.) It also weighs in grams if you push a button to change it over to that mode.

Wal-mart sells a postage scale pretty reasonably priced I think.
