This is one of the most moving personal memoirs I've ever read. I've recommended it to everyone I know. Many years ago, I worked at Sony Studios where Antwone was a guard - most of us called him Fish. He was kind and professional and we were all thrilled for him when he was able to quit his job to become a professional writer. The whole studio lot buzzed about it. To make the fairy tale ending complete, years later when the book was being made into a movie, directed by Denzel WaShington, Derek Luke, who was working as the clerk at the studio gift shop and was friendly with Fish, managed to get himself in to audition with Denzel. I could hardly believe my ears the day I stopped in the gift shop and asked where Derek was - only to be told he was playing the title character in the Denzel Washington movie. It's such a great Hollywood story and it couldn't have happened to 2 nicer guys.

A great tragic story of a young boy "falling through the cracks " of the system.
