I just finished my second challenge book, The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton.  This was for the "writer new to me" category.  I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the rites and rituals of "old New York."  I also enjoyed (not quite the right word) the way the wife stymies her husband each time that he is about to confess to her and change his life.

I've only read Wharton's Ethan Frome which I enjoyed very much so I am interested in some of her other works.

I have The House of Mirth on my TBR.

So TheAge of Innocence is pretty good, eh?  Cool!

Tome, it seemed a little slow to me at first (but that might have been because hubby, as always, had the TV on).  Then, when I could read in peace and quiet, I really got into it.

I really liked Age of Innocence, but House of Mirth is one of my favorites.
