This trilogy was SO good that I'm totally depressed now that I'm done with it.  Can anyone recommend something similar before I go crazy?  If it helps, I've read Stephenie Meyer's books already----  loved Twilight, but thought the others left something to be desired.  Of course I love Wisechild, Last Unicorn, etc.  Any good YA reads left that you can recommend?

I can't think of any books off-hand, but I found a really good website that tells about a lot of YA books. It's called www.teenreads.com I also won a free book off this site!

This is moving out of strictly YA novels, but I would suggest Raymond E. Feist books.  Feist writes in a way that is acceptable to the YA crowd, but the books are absolutely wonderful for anyone into fantasy books old enough to read them.  One word of caution, the books are utterly addictive and there are a billion of them (make sure you start at the beginning, of all the books if you read his work...they make sense otherwise, but you tend to do too much backtracking once you become addicted).  Morgan LLywelyn books are another that would be tops on my list of YA-Adult crossovers.  They too are absolutely wonderful (although they tend to be slower reads than Feist).

Sorry, but for once I can't think of anything which falls strictly into the YA realm...perhaps Anne McCaffery, but I'm not so sure if they sound as much like what you're looking for as the others.  Although I do think that every teen should read her book The Rowan...that one is a complete winner.
