I recently bought a Kindle Voyage after my early version Nook died and I love it. My house is cluttered with unread magazines and I think I'd like a Fire for magazine reading, games & videos. Does anyone use one for that purpose and if so, how do you like it? I love magazines but I'm worried that I might never get to them because they'd be "out of sight, out of mind."

I think HDX would be better but it's slightly heavier, no?

btw, does Voyage have a function that if you quote a sentence, it's immediately appear as a reference?

For magazines, I would get a large tablet, such as the Fire HDX 8.9" or something similar in size.

I use my Kindle Fire for reading magazines and I love it - except for one thing. The Kindle magazine archive is a pain in the butt. The archived magazines stay on your newsstand shelf but you can't access them readily. You have to go back into Amazon, into your magazines and hit download past issue. It's been a big complaint on the forums. But still, I like reading them on my Fire.

I did just buy an iPad mini and have downloaded the Nook app (my Nook Color was so old I "retired" it). I love, love, love reading magazines on that thing. I still love my Kindle Fire so I haven't downloaded that app yet, but I probably will soon.

I would honestly suggest getting an iPad - then you have access to everything, including iBooks. I just bought a couple brand new bestsellers for $3.99 on iBooks.
