This book has been around awhile. I remember it when I was a kid. The copyright is 1960. It's kind of a silly story but a great easy reader for kids who are just beginning to read.

I read this as a child and read it to my preschool class of 4 and 5 year olds, they love it. A great read for beginning readers.

Great childhood memory!! Loved listening to my 6 year old delight in reading it too! A bad, bored cat finds out that serving others is more fun than hurting them.

I ordered this for my granddaughter and she loved it.
She is four and sat still while I read the whole book.
Her Dad is a volunteer firefighter so anything to do with "Firemen" is high on her list of reading material.
It was funny.
