In the heart of the odl Soviet Union, a mining tycoon has declared himself tsar of Russia. Claiming Romanov ancestry and backed by billions of dollars, he is determined to over-throw the current Russian government-while distracting the U.S. with a man-made natural disaster. All along America's eastern seaboard lie pockets of methane hydrate-a notoriously unstable compound known as "fire ice". Detonation of this compound could create a tidal wave big enough to destroy a major city. But there's one thing this poiwer-hungry madman didn't count on: Kurt Austin and his Special Assignment Team are about to make a few waves of their own.
Another awsome Clive Cussler book. I enjoyed it very much, the story grabs you from the first page.
North Africa is in turmoil. The new Libyan president has had the new Egyptian president assassinated, and the latter's widow, Susan Salaam, vows revenge. She enlists the high-tech help of Air Force general Patrick McClanahan and his Night Stalkers. But the Libyans, and their scheming secret allies, hold a trump card-one with a deeply personal meaning for McClanahan-and it may be one that will leave even the Night Stalkers powerless..
Beneath the Eastern seaboard of America lies a danger beyond imagining, a disaster waiting to happen. It's called FIRE ICE.
This will leave you breathless!

Good story, typical for Cussler.
402 pages, 38 chapters. Medium-sized print.
Kurt Austin Attempts to save the U.S. from devistation by a power mad Russian tycoon trying to take over Russias govt.
Cusslers heros tend to be a little over the top. A good book to pass the time.
