A typical Cussler adventure, but a bit more far fetched at times than in the other novels. Still a good page turner.

Another Kurt Austin adventure from Clive Cussler. Start with a premise taking place during the Russian revolution and fall of the tsar; carry it forward to the present and develop the fall out that the event triggered almost 90 years later. A fun read with the usual ingeneous twists and turns.

In the heart of the odl Soviet Union, a mining tycoon has declared himself tsar of Russia. Claiming Romanov ancestry and backed by billions of dollars, he is determined to over-throw the current Russian government-while distracting the U.S. with a man-made natural disaster. All along America's eastern seaboard lie pockets of methane hydrate-a notoriously unstable compound known as "fire ice". Detonation of this compound could create a tidal wave big enough to destroy a major city. But there's one thing this poiwer-hungry madman didn't count on: Kurt Austin and his Special Assignment Team are about to make a few waves of their own.

North Africa is in turmoil. The new Libyan president has had the new Egyptian president assassinated, and the latter's widow, Susan Salaam, vows revenge. She enlists the high-tech help of Air Force general Patrick McClanahan and his Night Stalkers. But the Libyans, and their scheming secret allies, hold a trump card-one with a deeply personal meaning for McClanahan-and it may be one that will leave even the Night Stalkers powerless..

This is a Kurt Austin story along with Numa. Always great. Beneath the Eastern seaboard of America lies danger beyond imagining, a disaster waiting to happen.

Kurt Austin Attempts to save the U.S. from devistation by a power mad Russian tycoon trying to take over Russias govt.
Cusslers heros tend to be a little over the top. A good book to pass the time.

NUMA agents Kurt Austin and Joe Zavala mix it up in Russia this time. They are on a rescue mission to retrieve the NR-1 submarine and its crew which have been hijacked by unknown persons. Russian insurgents are threatening to overthrow the Russian government and destroy the US economy with manufactured tsunamis.

This is a country-hopping tale encompassing Russia, England and the US. The story pops back and forth between the Russian cossacks and what Kurt's crew is doing to defeat them. Very interesting history lesson as well as a suspenseful storyline.
