Very good. A little intrique, lots of romance.
Kassandra Wentworth, headstrong and rebellious had no intention of obeying her father. Clay Harcourt, bastard son of a wealth Duke had no plans to take a wife but pland change.
Very good book. This is the second book in the Heartless series and first I read. Don't need to read in order to know what's going on. First and third books are "Heartless" & "Fanning the Flame".
Likeable heroine and hero, in a story that is exciting and with some darker aspects that deepen the plot beyond the usual superficial fare.
Good Read Kat Martin tells a good story but I wish her heroine had a little less naviete.

LOVE EVERYTHING I'VE EVER READ BY HER, WORKING ON READING ALL HER BOOKS
When I was interested in Regency-era England stories, I enjoyed Kat Martins' feisty women. A quick read, with predicable happy ending.
This is a true story of love. The Fire Inside perfectly depicts what a person goes through and what they feel when they are in love, and when their love might not be requited. Kat Martin writes accurate descriptions of this, and such realistic dialogue and situations.
I could not put this down. It moved slow at first, and I was not sure if I was going to like it. But soon enough it got so sensual and addictive. Martin's stories are never uninteresting or boring. There's always excitement, drama, and passion.
Good book - London 1800's. Good characters. Romantic. Nice to have a male character who is head over heels and the women be the pursued.
