I haven't read this book but I am going to make a review as a teacher who read her student's book report (grade 4)...I gave him a brand-new copy of the book because he looked bored and he absolutely loved the book (it was his first serious chapter book). School started back up this week and the first day there was a knock on my door and there was my former student--he didn't stop by to say hi--he came to borrow book #2! (I love it--and am now ordering books 3,4,and 5 just in case he stops by again).

David Rain is her boarder and finds out about the magic happening in the house. But there is more going on in the world than us lowly humans can see or want to see.
