I purchased fly away from the Target clearance section and started reading it only to realize that it was the second book in a series. I put the book down and ordered firefly lane.

The story is about Kate and Tully, two girls that meet when they are in middle school and remain friends through the years. Kate comes from a typical family of a loving mother and father and one sibling. Tully was raised by her grandparents and does not really know her mother or father. They could not be more different but they form a bond of friendship that holds up over the decades.

The first sentenced hooked me. The writing is good. The story itself kept me more captivated than the writing. I feel that people born in the 50s, 60s and 70s will be able to relate to this book and find it easy to follow.
