Wonderful children's story! Set in Korea in the early 19th century, a young boy learns that his family's job is very important. His family is the first in a line of bonfires lit across Korea, all the way to the palace to signal that all is well. Homeschooling moms might wish to use the free literature-based unit study that goes with this book at: http://www.homeschoolshare.com/thefirekeepers_son.htm .
