Kitty Wilder is the curator of Hot Water, CA's historical re-enactment town and the proprietor of Old Town's "brothel." When FBI agent Dylan Matthews discovers that he has unwittingly been married to Kitty for eight years, he returns to get a divorce. Cute, quick read- sweet romance and good small town feel.

Any one who grew up in a small town will recognize how the heroine feels trapped by her family history and the way she believes the town perceives her. And she'll do anything to break out of that cage. The hero also has issues with the towns perceptions, but unlike her, the town sees a hero in him--a role that haunts him because he knows it's not real. Together they heal each others wounds. Another fun, heartfelt story from Christie Ridgway.

Another fun romance this one taking place in Gold Country. I really ejoyed the humor and sexy romance that it is.

First book set in Hot Water, California. Fun book.
Determined to live down her family's long-time naughty reputation to finally achieve respectability, Kitty Wilder decides to hold handsome FBI agent Dylan Matthews to the accidental marriage that he had never realized was real.

Funny, good read.
charming story. actually i read the sequel first, Thwen Comes Marriage and I traced down this one. It is light but not silly, and I found the author saying things I could believe in. I am pursuing her other books because i just like the general tone.
This was a fun, quick read. Enjoy!
