Navajo Tribal police officer is murdered and Lt. Jim Chee catches the Hopi eagle poacher in the act. So why is retired Joe Leaphorn searching for a missing female biologist in the same area? Maybe the skinwalker knows.

I love the way Hillerman weaves Navaho and Hopi traditions into a murder mystery, and this book is a prime example. Jim Chee is now Acting Lieutenant, and Joe Leaphorn has retired. But, of course, Leaphorn can't resist a mystery...

A good read.

Jim Chee and Joe Leaphorn. PBS did a good job of telling these stories; but the book has much
greater dimension. A gritty story with touches of
humor placed in the Navajo nation.

This book is a great read/listen. Hillerman at his best.

Great Story. I love the way the reader brings it to life. It is as if you are actually seeing the story. What a treat
