This is all about hospital ethics as the ethics committees truly came into their own. Who lives, who dies, who gets the life saving treatment when the families and the doctors can't, or won't, agree? The Ethics Committee. This book covers a few months in the lives of the doctors, families, and administrators of Herman hospital in Houston, Texas. This is one of the finest hospitals in one of the largest medical centers in the U.S. A great read. I couldn't stop and stayed up all night to finish it.
