Five Boys in a Cave
Five Boys in a Cave
Author: Richard Church
Five boys explore an underground labyrinth discovered by John Walters. The secret planning is abetted only by John's uncle. The day of adventure and near-tragedy teaches each boy something about himself and about the qualities of leadership. A fine story as carefully executed as the best novel for adults.

Read this long ago as a child and re-read it several times. Wish I'd kept my copy of it as it seems to be out of print. Five boys find a cave and explore it. Stupid and dangerous in the eyes of the adult I now am, but I remember a wonderfully exciting story which should probably have a caveat for the young readers it targets - DON'T DO THIS!
