I sent out the wrong book. I sent out the correct book as quickly as I could and they have recieved it. I know she is not required to return the other book unless I pay her a credit. I told her to jusk keep it and like I said, sent out the right book as quickly as possible. They have the correct book, but have yet to mark it resolved. How will this impact my record? There is a thread of pms that show our discussion including the last one saying the correct book was received. Will that be enough?

Did she mark the book received?

I would PM her and ask her to please mark the situation resolved so that PBS knows you fixed the problem.  She may not know that she can do this.  It wasn't always possible to mark a problem as resolved.

I  agree with Mary, PM her and ask her if she could mark the swap resolved so that it reflects on your account.  You can include the instructions on how to follow-up on a problem swap.  http://www.paperbackswap.com/help/search.php?terms=follow-up+on+problem+swaps.   Give her some time, she may not be on the system as often.  If she doesn't mark it resolved in a week or so I would send the related correspondence to PBS and see if they can't have it marked resolved and if not at least they are aware you resolved the problem.  Good Luck

I had the same problem but the other person refused to mark the transaction resolved even after I returned her credit for a book she said wasn't postable, even though she had agreed to the minor damage to the book via PM prior to my sending it out. After returning the credit I asked her to please mark the transaction resolved, but she never did and she never answered my PM about it either. I thought that was pretty rude.

The PBS team can see your PMs so if there's ever a question, they can see that you resolved the problem even if the other person didn't mark it resolved.

Because I had sent the wrong book she marked it RWAP and then I had to pm her to get her name and address. I then used the send a friend a book to send her the correct book. She wanted the book and not her credit. Because I did that I had to wait until she told me she received it. She did and I have pm'd her and asked her to please go to the transaction archive and mark it received. I do know that she is not on the computer daily. So I guess I just wait and see. The whole thread of pms is there so PBS can see them. I just hate to make mistakes and this was my fault, I don't know where my head was, so I wanted everything nicely resolved.

Susan - don't beat yourself up about this, everyone makes a mistake and it wasn't intentional.  Chances are she didn't realize she had to mark it resolved especially if she isn't on everyday.

Ok - embarrassing story - but true and it just happened.  I think I posted this on another thread because of the outcome, but here it goes.

-I had a request for a book and actually it was a deal.  So I sent the books out.  I received a PM from the requester that she received the bonus book but not the one she actually wanted.  Now I was sending several books and I swear I remember seeing it in the box.  So I went to my bookshelf where I keep all my posted books and there it was.  I was like what did I send her.....well it was a wish listed book I just received...yes I sent her my own WL book. LOL.  We both got a chuckle.  I sent the book she wanted FC so she would get it sooner and she is reading the one I sent by mistake and said she will send it back to me when she is done.  She didn't want  a credit for the return. I did tell her to keep the book if she didn't want to send it back- it was my mistake.  I also won't count the 2 times now that I have canceled a book instead of printing the wrapper :)

Deep breath - it is ok and it will all work out.  It is nice to see another member concerned over making sure the swaps go well.  You are what makes this site great.

Susan - On an RWAP that I had once, I fixed it, but the requester didn't mark it as 'resolved' until I PMd her.  She didn't realize that she had to do anything, and i walked her through the process.  This might be the problem with the person you sent the book to.  Pat
