It's not easy to make Altzheimer's Disease the central theme of a book. Braver does it pretty well and the story taps into the gamut of emotions generated by this insidious invader into lives and families. Throw in a good bit of medical mystery and it's a quick read, but I found myself thinking about the concepts it raised for a long time. If and when a cure for Altzheimer's is found, it will indeed be a "society-changing" medication that could generate billions of dollars and a whole lot of intrigue, espionage, spying, even killing, to be at the right place to cash in on the cure for one of the most feared syndromes we face today. Starts a bit choppily, but gets compelling pretty quickly. I recommend it.
