This is a very entertaining children's book that held our 7 year old's attention and kept him laughing and making comments about Flat Stanley and his brother's adventures. When a child asks, "Are there more of these?" I think it's a good book!

Everyone loves flat Stanley! Life in the flat lane. When Stanley Lambchop wakes up one morning his brother Aurther is yelling. A bulletin board fell on Stanley during the night, and now he is only half an inch thick! Amazing things begin happening to him. Stanely gets rolled up, mailed, and flown like a kite. He even gets to help catch two dangerous art thieves. He may be flat, but he's a hero!

while i never read the original, i don't think that this book was that bad. it invites the reader to use their imagination and think the immpossible. stanley gets to do many things that he wouldn't normally get to do. his brother, arthur, gets very jealous. but in the end, jealousy is forgotten as aruthur helps stanley get back to normal.
