Oh, Jennifer Weiner did not disappoint! I really thought Fly Away Home was a great read. Finally!

For any Jennifer Weiner fans, she's had a two-part short story published in the latest two issues (July and August I guess) of Redbook magazine. I am not sure, but it may be available online too. It's kind of cool to get a "free" (well, if you subscribe or buy the issues) JW story that's not in one of her books. As for the story itself, it started off enjoyable but I was "eh" by the end.

Was it similar to her earlier novels, like Goodnight Nobody or In Her Shoes? I keep going back and forth about buying it...

LeeAnn, I think so. I had some reservations at the beginning, but things seemed to smooth out. I got it from the library, though. I loved Goodnight Nobody. But I think I'm one of the few. Certain Girls was my least favorite of her novels. But I did like Best Friends Forever. Was that clear as mud?

PS I notice the PBS Market has it.

Yes! I liked Certain Girls, but did not love it. I enjoyed Goodnight Nobody enough to read it 2 or 3 times before swapping it. Maybe I should get it from the library too, that way if I like it-great! If not, I'm not out $17 hard earned dollars!

LeeAnn, I'm all about the library. I usually stalk my library's website and try to be one of the first on the list for new releases. Then I'll buy the book when the price comes down some.

I did not think Fly Away Home was one of her best.   I liked it enough to finish it, though.
