Last volume (Book 4) of the Berrybender Narratives - puts it all together and completes the story (and series).

I thought it was vey good - rough and tough, raw - being chased and hounded on all sides. Can't give away the story, but if you've followed it up through Book 3, then you'll have to read Book 4.

As a long narrative it was excellent. Books 1 to 3 are: "Sin Killer", "The Wandering Hill" and "By Sorrow's River"

As serious as it gets, Mc'Murty manages to make the novel both a nail-
chewing adventure and a frontier burlesque....Mc'Murty is a grand storyteller
with an informed passion about the frontier, and it's sad to bid farewell
to his latest cast of charscters, but, for sure, they provided plenty of both
folly and glory, which is probably the lot of most of humanity...
"Folly and Glory" is epic tragedy, the novel's heroes beset with ravages
mostly of their own making...
