I just posted 2 wl books to another member.  When the request came thru on the account page, there was an RC for smoking.  Mine is a nonsmoking home, however I have a terrible sense of smell and would feel more comfortable if the RC was removed.    I am afraid if I cancel, they will go fifo.  Am I right in thinking they should cancel??

If they cancel, they will go to the back of line.

You should cancel with does not meet RC, then it will roll over to the next person.  If you've already accepted the request, cancel and then when you repost to the same person, click that it doesn't meet the RC.

I haven't accepted.  If I cancel will mine be posted since they're wl'd?  I want to send both together to save postage.  I was posting them specifically to this member because she wanted both.

They will go to different people. I would accept the request since you're in a nonsmoking home. Technically, you meet the rc.

If they cancel and then decide they don't want to remove the rc, they are at the back of the line. If you cancel Or say it doesn't meet the rc, they will move on to different people. I would accept it and then Pm them.

That's what you were looking for Adrienne, the cancel or cannot mail option.  Yes, in this circumstance you needed to be the one to stop the transaction or the requestor would loose her place FIFO.  And you are correct, by declining the RC the books would have rolled over into FIFO and offered separately to different wishers.

ETA - When offering multiples through the forum threads, senders can ask requesters to turn off RC's.

Same thing happened to me earlier this month. I had a member tell me to put my account on vacation hold until the situation was resolved so it wouldn't roll over to the next person. Not sure if it will work or not but next time this happens to me I plan to try it.
