this might be a dumb question but how does a post in the forums that seems to have been deleted from others clicking on it keep getting replies and views?

I think you are talking about the untitled threads. To enter you click on the blue 'last post' link that looks like a page with a turned down corner and an arrow beside it. You may want to enter with caution, however, as you never know what you will find in there....lol

Usually it's a post made by mistake.  Then it gets taking over as people being silly or a conversation starting. 

Or people having parties.. hehehe ...
