I forgot to change the date before I printed my PBS postage paid label...so it is showing Oct 10 and I want to mail tomorrow.
Am I going to have to go to the post office now?
If so, is there are way to use a machine to get a "stamp" for zero cents printed with the correct date... or do I have to have a real person do something?
Never mind... I found the answer on help:
If you put it into a collection box after the last day's scheduled collection, then the package will be accepted with the previous day's date when the next collection happens on the next day.

You are right about the mailboxes pick-up and using the date you've got - it works fine. But if you do have a date that needs to be fixed - all you have to do is take it to the PO to a clerk and explain it. They fix it. At least they have for me!
I think you might be reading that line wrong. If you mail it on Oct 10th AFTER the last sceduled pickup up , it is all right to have Oct 10th on it. otherwise it must have Oct 11-or the day you mail it on it. You will have to see a clerk in person to get a zero PVI on it.
FYI PVI is the white and orange postage sticker the PO puts on packages. It stands for Postage Validation Imprint
