Anybody out there care to comment on this book?  It was suggested to me because I enjoy reading David Sedaris.  I'm about 1/3 of the way into Fraud, and I really don't care for it.  I find Rakoff to be pretty arrogant.  I"m considering not finishing this one (which is rare for me!)...anyone know if it gets better?

I didn't care for it either.  I thought he was arrogant as well, and downright mean at times.   I saw him as a guest on The Daily Show a couple years ago and thought he was quite charming there, which made me get his books.  I read his latest one too - can't remember name off the top of my head - and it was less arrogant than Fraud, but not that much better.

I just posted it into the system.  Couldn't finish it!  I'm just surprised because I like Sedaris and Augusten Burroughs....oh well.  I have another of Rakoff's books on my wishlist (can't think of the name) and I wonder if I should give it a shot or just take it off.  I'll have to think about it.  It might be the same one you read, Suzanne.
