I think boys and girls might like this, maybe from 4th grade on. It might be a good "reluctant reader" book for middle schoolers. I found it rather insipid, but then, I'm not a 4th grader.

Now is the time to make a start on my life story. Like any reasonably intellignet writer, of course, I'm wondering if anyone will be interested in what I have to tell. A pretty bright youngster grows up in a kind of prison, is sold, gets shunted back and forth a few times, eventually manages to escape, and is smart enough to gain his freedom. Maybe I should also mention I'm a hamster.
