thought I would start a thread specifically for those with a Sony.  Outside of the bargin bin at Sony where they specifically highlight some free books, I have also found listings at:

Inkmesh

I know that All Romance has lots of free books that work on the Sony

Hi Leslie!  (mish from the book ring here!)

I started a multi-format thread to cover the Sony reader and others that take epub and other formats.  Looks like there is going to be some overlap.

I did see that thread but thought I would start this one too...can't hurt to cover all the bases!  plus it wasn't clear to me what all it would cover....but then it doesn't take much to confuse me!

I've found several books for the Sony at Inkmesh.  it can be a timing thing.  I've also found it is easier to find the names of the books and open up the program for Sony and do a search and get it that way.  a little harder but has worked well.

Try this link - should go direct for the Sony items

I just pulled up one book called Parking Lot Hero that is free and the one under it Regenerated

Can we download the books from amazon for our sony e-reader or is it just for the kindle?  I didn't want to purchase one and then not be able to get it.  Thanks!

Amazon books are only for the Kindle...but I downloaded the Kindle reader for my PC and read a few books that way that I got for free.  But definitely do not buy one and expect to be able to read it on your Sony.

I did notice that yesterday Sony had a bunch in the free section, you have to go to the further back pages of those listed.  Usually it is the most recent ones in the bargain priced section but by looking I found 5 or 6 more that I hadn't "purchased" yet.

If you're after a free Kindle book, check the same book at the Sony store. If they're not free the same days, sometimes they're fairly close.

and of course not all books that are free are in the free section that I referenced above.  I usually will pick a genre I'm interested and then sort by price and see if there is anything free that I like
