Harlequin is celebrating 60 years and they'll be giving away 16 ebooks for free.  I don't know if it's like their Christmas deal - like a book a day or all 16 books in one day.

You're suppose to be able to sign up for a reminder at: Harlequin Celebrates but I don't think it's working cuz when I click on the "Remind Me" button nothing happens.  I just made an annotation on my own calendar though to check out the site on the 29th.

I wonder if the 16 free books are the ones currently listed on the eHarlequin homepage

ETA:  The e-mail reminder is working today.

Today I downloaded all 16 books in mobipocket format.  Then I downloaded one of them in PDF format.  So it appears we can download all 16 books now in however many different formats we want.

Jess, it was way easier than my experience with downloading from their estore.  It was pretty much just clicking on a single link for each title, and waiting for the download to complete.

Hope that helps!

We're not actually downloading from the Harlequin site.  It's a site set up expressly for this special.

Today's downloads were very simple and I downloaded all 16 mobipocket files in about 10 minutes!

I got 4 of them, those are the only ones I'm likely to read.

That's too funny but it happens to me also!  A search in your PC directory for *.pdf should pull them up for you!

I downloaded them in mobipocket format and PDF format.  I like to have books on my PDA at all times so I can start reading a book while I'm out and continue it later in the PDF format if I like.

What's wierd is that they were no longer available in mobipocket format after around noon on the 29th.  I noticed that when I was downloading the PDF at that time.  I'm glad I downloaded the mobipocket formats earlier that morning!
