Another forum I frequent had a thread about TV and movies online.

This site that someone mentioned is just so wonderful, I love it!

www.watch-movies.net  They have movies there that are still in theaters or in that in between period

where not many chain theaters are playing them but they're not yet on DVD.

I'm going to use this to decide if I really want to buy something on DVD.

They also have movies that are on DVD.

For example I just saw Batman The Dark Knight on there and DH already has the DVD.

Browse around and see if you like it.

I don't want to put a damper on this, but just a public service announcement:  dispite what this site claims, in general terms, it is NOT legal.  Specifically, this site may be legal since it only posts links to files in other locations, but the files on those other servers are being posted illegally.  See their disclaimer:

Watch-Movies.net is absolutly legal and contain only links to other sites on the Internet : ( rapidshare.com, megaupload.com, megashare(s), mega, dailymotion.com, myspace.com, ouou.com, stage6.com, tudou.com, veoh.com, youku.com, youtube.com and others.. ) We do not host or upload any video, films, media files ( avi, mov, flv, mpg, mpeg, divx, dvd rip, mp3, mp4, torrent, ipod, psp ), watch-movies.net is not responsible for the accuracy, compliance, copyright, legality, decency, or any other aspect of the content of other linked sites. If you have any legal issues please contact appropriate media file owners / hosters.

There's also another note:

Due a large amount of 'bad reports' related to new, especially 'now showing in theaters' blockbusters movies
I wish to notice that movie files have a very short lifetime (from hour to day) before they will be deleted. We are not hosting, not uploading movie files, we just search & collect movie files from the internet, therefore we can't fix broken file, we can just find another copy elsewhere and we are trying constantly to do it as fast as we can. Please be patient, sorry for any inconveniences !

There's a reason why these files only last a day or so before they're deleted.

Okay, having said that, it's never stopped me in the past.  :-)  Just be careful out there.  Now, to see if they have "Quantum of Solace"...

SurfTheChannel operates the same way.  All the videos are hosted externally (and illegally), SurfTheChannel just compiles them for you.

Hulu is completely legal, though.

Abbey I was all excited about that site.. I've been watching Twilight but then a thing popped up and said "You've watched 72 minutes of video today. Wait 54 minutes or click..." and then would have to pay. How annoying!

I use http://www.free-tv-video-online.info/ and Hulu. I have to say I love Hulu, but it doesn't have alot of stuff, mostly OLD movies, but new TV shows, but not all the episodes! Or they just have clips of shows.

You can also try Veoh.com, I've been watching the entire series of Salior Moon on it, the video's are kinda pixel-y unless you want to download them.

I was using this website after I saw your post on here, but the last few days I haven't been able to get back to it. Anybody else having this problem or is it just me?

Watch-Movies.net has closed down.  That sort of movie watching is a legal gray area so these sites are closed (and new ones open) all the time. http://askville.amazon.com/watch-movies-net-legal/AnswerViewer.do?requestId=12066714

Hulu.com is still 100% legal.

http://www.surfthechannel.com/ is open and working right now.

Stay away from anything Megavideo, that's the thing you can only watch 72 minutes of then have to wait.

You can also alot of times get free episodes of TV shows (new episodes and what not) on the channels web site.

I know ABC has some free episodes.

I've been watching surfthechannel for the last year now and they have made things a little bit harder but I think they are legal because they actually shut the site down for a bit  and now it's up. So, I don't know. I like it though.
