I posted this at CMT, but hope it's ok to post here too.  If not, let me  know and I'll delete.

If there are any books you want that you can't find on PBS, you might want to check on half.com

They are offering free shipping until 6/4 by using the code:  FREESHIP at the end of your order.  Make sure you order all the books you want on one order.  Found (5) books from my PBS WL and then decided to go back and order more books.  The FREESHIP code can only be used once.

ETA:  They are only allowing up to $25 off shipping regardless of how large your order is, so make sure you make your order count the first time around.  I had ordered some books and decided later to go and order more.  Nope.  They told me my "coupon" for free shipping had already been used even though it wasn't quite $25 on my first order and the order has to total at least $10 for books before the coupon will be applied for free shipping.

This is AWESOME - I think there is a max discount of $25 however. I just made a purchase and still ended up paying about $5 for shipping on my order as the discount applied was $25 and the total shipping would have been close to $30 originally.

Thanks to Karen for sharing this!

Thanks so much!  I got 7 books for just over $11.00 and several of them would have taken years to show up on my WL.

Hi Karen!

Thank you for the great info!

I'll have to check this out!

This would also work great for my PBS Book Swap Games!

Tara :)

Thanks a bunch. I ordered 9 books for $11.50.  How did you know this promotion was going on?  Looks like a lot of us are happier because of you.

I'm always looking for old British Mysteries.

I've purchased books from them before and have a "wish list" set up on half.com, so get promotional e-mails from them now and again.

I tired to order some books from Half.com and the Free shiping code did not work for me.  So I did not place my order because of that fact.  Sounded like a good deal.  Don't know what I did wrong.

Thank you so much for sharing this!!   I just ordered 7 books from my Wishlist  for $13.86.  Unbelievable bargain!  Based on my position in the FIFO system it would have taken years for some of them to become available through PBS.  Now I can read them and pass them on to other PBS members!

Rhonda:  Did your book order total at least $10 (not including shipping)?  You enter the code of FREESHIP once you click on your shopping cart to confirm  your order.  There is a box at the bottom of the column for entering the code.  If your book total doesn't total at least $10, the code won't work.  Try again as it's a good deal.

thanks! Got some stuff I wanted.

I have no idea why people don't use half.com more often.

Prices are often much better than amazon-----and for the seller, half.com takes a lot less % overall than amazon, so it's a win-win situation I think.

I always cross check my prices on both sites.  I've noticed in checking a lot of my WL books for this promotion that many sellers are on both sites and listing their books at the same prices in both places.  It looks like the lowest you can go on Half is 75 cents, plus the $3.49 shipping... Amazon I usually get books for 1 cent plus $3.99 shipping, so for the books I buy at least it's pretty much the same either way.

Than you, I got a bunch of books off my wishlist, saved over half on each and saved $22 on shipping.
