I finally gave in and decided to pay the membership fee to join the Free Philly Library, when to my pleasant surprise I find that it's free to veterans and members of the military service.  I completed the application online so I don't know how they verify a person's military status but I'm now waiting on my library card unless they send a letter or something asking for a copy of my military ID for verification.

I'm off to check out this Navy once also.  I wonder what type of selection they have?

I think it's a great idea. My son might be interested, as he's Navy.

But DH left the Navy years ago, and doesn't qualify. Bummer, but nice to know other's can take advantage of a nice perk.
