This is a 1998 edition of a book that was originally published in 1926 as "Glimpses of Masonic History" AND in 1986 as "Ancient Mystic Rites". This book had some good information in it. The author is a Freemason and he explains where a lot of their ceremonies and rites came from. He even explains why Freemasons are so secretive. He is definitely Anti-Catholic. The only thing I didn't really like about the book (and it went on quite a bit) was that the author kept using acronyms and initials throughout his writing. It was as if he wasn't allowed to print certain words and titles. He uses HOATF alot. I have a general idea what it means but he never explained it. After almost 200 pages of seeing it, it started to get annoying. And when they released this version of the book, they never put in any pictures. Which isn't bad in itself but the author refers to pictures alot in his telling of Masonic history. You kind of miss out on what he is trying to explain.
