I am reading True Grit thanks to a generous PBS member among us.

I read the first couple chapters and was hooked. I mean HOOKed that I dread it ending. It's only 200 pages.

I was reading Rooster Cogburn lines where he says to Mattie Ross ," Well, baby sister" and I can't help but think of John Wayne.  I thought Baby Sister was a John Wayne-ism, but it's a Cogburn-ism.

I end the evening by reading the last chapter to dh. We love it.
