Maybe we should have a on going topic called funny contemorary books to recommend.  I have been laughing out loud at a book this week and, boy, did I need to do some laughing:

Last Call by Laura Pedersen      The main chacter is just plain uplifting, funny, loving and a great Scotts character.  I read this one in a day and loved it for the humor and characters.

The funniest book I ever read (and re-read, at least a dozen times) is Gail Parent's Sheila Levine is Dead and Living in New York City. I most highly recommend it!

Check out any of Christopher Moore's books.  Very entertaining.

Funny in Farsi, by Firoozeh Dumas, will give you some smiles and chuckles, I think.
