So, what is the longest WL shipping estimate you have? One of mine estimates the book will be available to me in 526 weeks! Hehe I just thought that was funny...imagining myself finally receiving the book years from now!  How about everyone else? I'm sure there are probably even longer estimates out there!

I have the Omnivore's Dilemma in hardback on my WL and I'm expected to get it in only 740 weeks....lol.

68 weeks is the longest one I have.  Out of 72 items on WL, only about 6 or 7 of mine have an acutal estimated date.  Most do not.  One book, I can see the last time it was posted was nearly 2 years ago, about 2 months before I put it on WL and I've been #1 since then.

Most of mine just say N/A,  only a few of them have estimates and the longest is 7 weeks. I would love to see 700 weeks just for the chuckle it would give me!

Yesterday, when I first read this post, I looked and had one on my wish list and it said 195 weeks. So I figure ok, It's better then 740, but still seems pretty hopless. Today I happen to look again and it says 130 weeks. At this rate, I could be offered the book in 2 weeks. LOL

Most of mine are N/A.  I think I only had 25 that had estimates when I looked.

Out of 200 books, only one has an estimate - of about a year! ;-)

I don't infer much from this - I've gotten LOTS of books where I was the only one (or 1 of 2) for a long time and then *BING*..  Right now, I've got more books than time to read them anyway, so I'm in no rush (yet I always seem to find a way to read "just one more page").

As with many things, patience furthers.

Most of mine are under a year,  but I've got one where I'm person 203, with a prediction of 203 weeks to get it. Clearly more people need to get this book into the system, if we've got a one-a-week scenario going here. :D

704 weeks - well by then I'd probably be finished with my TBR mountain and be ready for a new book.  lol

My longest was 620 weeks.

Key word being "was."

Thanks to an eagle-eyed PBSer who told me that she spotted it on sale at a discount store, I bought it for $5.

I'm no longer on the WL.

I don't have any estimates...most of mine are obscure or just weird.  But it does give me the idea that I should be looking for some of these cheap at some used book seller online.  Already started looking!  When I see that there are 150 people waiting for the same book I think there must be a better way than waiting!  LOL!! ;D

Mine is only 133 weeks but when it first came out one of mine was over 203 and now it says N/A. Anyone else have this happen?

Donna, there is no way you will ever be through with your TBR pile because you are like the rest of us addicts and will keep right on getting more books no matter how many are on your TBR. I try really hard not to get more books until I have gotten my TBR pile down but these books just keep calling to me!!

Like most others, most of my Wish List does not have an estimate. However, a good number of my Wish Listed books have not been posted in at least a year. Once hasnt been posted since 2006! But my longest wait is 46 weeks with those that give me an estimate.

I'm thinking that a few of my WL books have never been posted here!  LOL!!  I just went and bought a few that I decided weree cheap enough that I could buy and read long before I ever got up to a spot in the 1 to 10 range.  Maybe that will help infuse some new "blood" into the system!  ;D

I went and looked--I was wrong.  Only 20ish have last posting dates--only 2 have estimated times!

One is 300 weeks (guess I'm ahead of y'all on The Omnivore's Delimma) and the other has the respectable 5 weeks.

Most of mine have no estimate - and I'm WAY down the list. I think I'll end up buying some of those ones. I just need to get my hands on some credits, there's tons of stuff I want and it's available and I haven't sent out enough stuff to get those.

45 weeks is currently my longest. I had one with 54 weeks before though. I find that it's not accurate at all. Earlier this week I was at 13 weeks for one book, then yesterday I was at 44 weeks, and now I'm at 15 weeks. I guess this will be another feature like that little truck!

My longest WL is 538, The Story of Edgar Sawtelle. Not sure if I'll wait that long to read it. I will probably find it at the bookstore at a bargain price before I make it up to number 1.

I just went to see what #  I was on Edgar Sawtelle and now NONE of the copies of that book show any estimate. That's weird that you still show an estimate and mine is gone. I noticed it is gone on several of my WL books. (all the really long waits).

Well I received the Story of Edgar Sawtelle from PBS recently, so there is hope if you want that book.  Interestingly I had 3 ISBN's (all hardcover) for that book on my WL.  One of them had a MUCH shorter line, and moved faster than the others  It was the Oprah version.  Maybe fewer people wanted the Oprah version.  I didn't care.  I've had some trouble getting into the book and finding time to read it, so I still have it.  Maybe I should stay away from the PBS forums and read more instead, LOL.  Anyway, the ISNB # is 9780061768064 if you want to add that to your list.  I plan to eventually repost my copy.  (The Oprah emblem is a sticker so it should be removable, but it is stuck on pretty securely so I don't think I'll attempt to take it off.)

A large percentage of my WL is books not yet released, so I wouldn't expect there to be a 'last posted' date or an estimate. LOL

Some of the books I have on the WL are fairly obscure also, with last posted dates in 2006 or 2007. It's good to have that information--I've started checking other resources for those books.

Out of 193 books I have wishlisted, only 3 of mine have any estimate at all, and  two are fairly recently-released, rapidly posted paranormals and one a popular mystery series...longest estimate is 13 weeks. We shall see how accurate their estimates are. LOL

299 for me, and I'm only halfway down the list!

This is why the books I really want are also on my Amazon wish list.
