I have an old book :

The Pine Furniture of Early New england by Russell Hawes Kettell

Does anyone have any idea the Pub Date?  The only date I see is 1929, but the pictures in this book appear to be  modern (furniture is old looking, but not pictures)

I googled the author's name - the first link I got was at Amazon.     For that title/author, ISBN 978-0486201450, it is showing a publication date of 1970 by Dover Publications.

Perhaps the original writing is old & Dover reprinted it?  That might account for the "newer" photos.

Just found another listing at Antiqbooks -- it shows a 1956 printing by Dover.   Description mentions that the book is a "classic" so it probably has been reprinted various times throughout the years.

What's the ISBN on your copy, if it has one?

Aha -- another one --- check this copy at Ebay out -- it states that it is allegedly a 1929 publication date, again by Dover.
